Kiova 11.9.2024 — Rentop Oy, an international expert and personnel services company specializing in the lifting industry, has started a new significant training pilot in the Kyiv region of Ukraine in cooperation with reliable local companies. The pilot project, which is partially funded by Finnpartnership's business partnership support, focuses on the training export of the lifting industry to Ukraine and training the local population in the use of western lifting equipment and safety practices.

Rentop Oy has already established strong cooperative relations with Ukrainian companies, which creates a solid foundation for the success of this pilot project. These partnerships not only support current training projects, but also open significant business opportunities in the Ukrainian reconstruction market.

"This pilot project is an important step forward for us in the Ukrainian market, where we see significant growth opportunities. We have long-term and reliable relationships with local operators, and our purpose is to build sustainable business models around training and services in the lifting industry," says Rentop Oy CEO Markku Lehkonen.

The pilot project offers comprehensive training in different areas of the lifting industry. The training program includes European occupational safety regulations and practices, Ukrainian laws and regulations, special regulations for the lifting industry, knowledge of equipment, physics of the lifting industry, supervision, work management and planning. The goal is to ensure that the participants get comprehensive and practical knowledge that will enable them to succeed in various tasks in the lifting industry, from operator level to designers.

During the training, theoretical studies are applied directly to practice, and participants have the opportunity to work with a modern western Grove GMK5220 mobile crane and other equipment in the lifting industry. This practical experience is an integral part of the training and ensures that the participants can use their new skills effectively immediately after the training.

Due to the war situation, the implementation of the project has required special arrangements, such as protecting the training site, ensuring secrecy and implementing measures related to civil protection. To guarantee the safety of personnel, temporary shelters and population shelters enabling longer stays have been built. These measures are an essential part of Rentop's commitment to the safety and well-being of its personnel and partners.

Rentop Oy's goal is to strengthen the know-how and safety culture of the lifting industry internationally, and the Ukrainian market offers significant opportunities to expand this activity. The company sees reconstruction projects as an important part of future growth and is committed to bringing its best expertise to these projects.
